Integrations overview

Caplo is designed to fit into the tools your teams already use. Architecture you model in Caplo rarely lives in isolation: it ends up in slide decks, design documents, wiki pages, and reviews. The integrations in this section help you share that work without re-drawing it somewhere else.

There are two ways to bring Caplo diagrams into other tools:

  • Image export — export any diagram as an SVG or PNG file and drop it wherever you need a static picture.
  • Confluence integration — embed a live diagram in a Confluence page that always reflects the latest saved version. See Confluence integration.

Export a diagram as SVG or PNG

Every Caplo diagram can be exported as an image. This is the quickest way to put a diagram into documents, presentations, tickets, or chat.

  1. Open the diagram you want to export.
  2. Select the shapes you want to include. To export the whole diagram, select everything with Ctrl+A (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+A (macOS).
  3. Right-click the selection and choose Export as.
  4. Pick SVG or PNG.

Use the format that fits your target:

  • SVG is a vector format. It stays crisp at any zoom level and is ideal for documents and presentations where the diagram may be resized or printed.
  • PNG is a raster image. It is convenient when you need a simple, fixed-resolution picture to paste into tools that do not handle SVG well.

Exports are a snapshot. Once you have exported an image, it no longer updates when the diagram changes. If you want an always-current view inside a wiki, use the Confluence integration instead.
